Misjudged a measurement for a dose of something(Not going to name the product),and my fish soon went belly up except the Moorish Idol which is a surprise.A lot of money invested there and I have myself to blame.Damn metric system.Thinking of just keeping coral from now on.Really bummed about it.

He's a nice size but not really taking foods except picking on rock and The sponges I provided for him.Must be eating something to stay alive for 3 weeks now.If I do decide to do that, look for the FS forum. Not here.

Aww. Sorry to hear of your losses... it is hard to bounce back from a lot of loss. Though we are only human, we do the best we can with what we have available to us. Sometimes things don't turn out as we planned.

Good luck with the Moorish Idol. IMO, one of the most beautiful fish. Are you offering sponge other than decorative sponges? I hope you have long term success with him and that he starts taking foods other than sponges.

Again, sorry for your losses.

Nelson Try Crushed Krill, Prawn and Clam with a little hit of Garlic mixed. I had success using this to get Moorish Idol's to eat LMK if this works for you

Huge thread on RC about this stuff..23 pages..
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1409369&perpage=25&pagenumber=1

Seems at one point they took it off the market and reintroduced it in a weaker solution due to the issues people were having with it.
I only had the chance to take a cursory look through the thread but repeatedly it said it should not be used unless you have a severe algae issue (was described something like, you had taken all of the hair clippings off some animal and added them to your tank), it should not be used if there is any sulphur in the tank, and cannot be used if you are adding any other product to the tank (not sure which as I didn't read all of it).

Sorry for your loss Nelson, not sure why it effected the fish, but obviously a very bad one :(
