Puffer in a Reef

I was thinking maybe a vallentini? I have no shrimp. I have about 15 turbo snails and two mythrax crabs. Corals are zoas, acans, frogspawn, candycane, rics.

it will most likely eat your snails and crabs. besides aren't they poisonous?

They pick at zoas and acans also.

Puffers are some of my favorite fish, though I don't think they are at all reef safe.. not even "with caution"

Could you chance it? Sure. Is it really worth it? That is up to you.
Even though I love puffers I'd not chance it.. because I simply love my entire reef more.

Puffers are also heavy feeders and nitrate factories.....

I agree with all the above coments. I had a blue spot sharp nose and a vallentini in a reef for about a year w/ no issue until they one day decided to try a monti cap. It was all down hill from there as they realized they were living in a buffet, lol.
