As some people here know I am in the process of setting up a cool water tank(70f). The most common question I get is what fish can you put in it. There are many fish that are always avaiable. Some of them are also known to do bad in captivity which I beleave is not true. They don't do good because the tank there housed in is to hot. I think that, in general, we keep our tanks far warmer than it is on the reef. Unless I'm snorkeling and the water is very shallow, the water 60ft down is certainly NOT 81 degrees. :) I'll check my log book when I get home, but I think the warmest dive I've ever done was 72 degrees at the low end of the spectrum. So deep water fish especially, I think you could keep at cooler temps with no problem.

Did you get the white spotted pygmy filefish on your list?

Come on Just, what about the mother of all center pieces? The reason why you are setting the tank up in the first place? The first being your beauty found deep in Hawaii and then a fish that has just become available from Japan. Pics below!!!! How far along are you with setting it up? Tim

Oh and if we are in dream mode, why not one of these. Or some of these!!!

I was in Oregon for a week or so attending a seminar for work. That place is absolutely amazing, especially if you love water and wilderness. By April, we can finally get the lines wet and catch some bass. No Cod or Ling for me, too cold... I'll be in touch. Just moved and all the fish are doing great. Later, T
