Hi all, I have an aggressive dottyback that has already beat to death a goby. What would be a potentially good tankmate for this guy. S/He is currently living peacefully with a clownfish, so i'm guessing the goby was beaten to death because of having the same body shape.
So anything good to go with a dottyback that can fit in a 29 gallon tank?

Which Dottyback do you have? Some are more aggressive than others. In a tank that small it's going to be a problem keeping another fish with it as outside of a Damsel it would hard to keep a fish that gets larger. A Hawk, Cardinal fish, Damsel, Algae type Blenny would also work. A Goby should work, which type did you lose?

Just had to give away my molly miller blenny. It was an aggressive little S.O.B. Very entertaining fish, but it might do well with some more aggressive small fish. It's still sitting at Wonderful World of Fish 'n More in Astoria. On the plus side, these fish stay pretty small.

wrasses can vary. i have a few wrasses living peacfully together in my 75 gal. the only problem i have with them is with my six lines. for whatever reason they seem to have a taste for bird nest corals. the love to kill those corals and only those corals. i know wrasses can be very territorial but they should be able to hold their own.
