ok let me start with myself as a repeat offender for the tang police, i love tangs and have tried a few of them knowing better and sooner or later they would need a bigger tank, i always said better in my tank then the store's 20g tank or some smuck who cant keep crap. well i got a 2" hippo and in a months times its 3" now, these fish shouldnt ever be bought unless you have a 120g tank or atleast a 6' long tank. and only reason i say a 120 is because of the width, these fish need lenght to swim. now i am not a know it all and knew better, but with my daughter throwing a fit about getting it and me saying well it is only 2" i have time, well the time was a month and the fish is 3" now so at this rate i am in trouble, and the little sucker is hard to catch, still havent caught it, so please if you do not have a tank large enough save the fish a problem and save urself some money,

I agree Rick, I took the Tangs out of my 120, they grew so fast, plus they make a lot of waste. I think small tangs could be kept in a 220, and larger ones, well you need a really large tank imo.

Once my hippo started eating my zoa's it was time to go. Check the tank at night with a flashlight and find out where it sleeps. Then you can get it while it is sleeping. I my case it was just one rock that had to be moved.
