The Sohal is in the 72. I never put any tang in my 24, as I was told many times, that it was too small for any tang.
Most of the people I spoke to however informed me that a 72 would be ok for a sohal until it gets too big for the tank 6" or so.
The unfortunate part of this actually ties into Dukes thread. Because this is the fish my wife wanted(i dont really even like tangs- Im more of a wrasse guy) and it has gotten her interested in the tank. She even picked out a coral the other day.
So I do not want to now suddenly tell her "your fish has to go"
So how long do you think i have until D-Day (which also happens to be our anniversary)LOL.
A little info on the fish. His temperment is good. He swims around with my coris wrasse and potters angel all day.
He is eating good.
And he found a nice place to hide where no one bothers him when he's not in the mooood.
and he is a BEAUTIFUL PERFECT SPECIMEN
Thanks for all the feedback
;-)...then CHEMCHEF the way I see it you have no other alternative than to gently explain Her that because you like her very much and are truly impressed and grateful for Her demonstration of care and affection for you and your tank that now she also shares with you, you will start to prepare a tank upgrade say up to 400g or as much as you feel feasible over 400g (depending on available space, money, the strength of the floor to hold it...also it should be a long and narrow tank rather than tall and wide as these fish like to swim fast and for long stretches) due in 6 months to one year time, to properly accommodate the marine jewel she so affectionately chose. She will understand it and will know that you are meaning it because you really care for what she likes and feels, and want the best for Her and want Her to be part of the adventure. She will also know and feel that she is part of the adventure now as Her choice in this case determines what has to be done so every time she looks at it, she will think...I did this, I decided over this, I'm part of this....and if the decision of not upgrading is taken, she will be the one to decide so or be part of that decision, so she will feel rewarded and will decide what fish to chose to replace it and fit adequately in the 72g tank, either way she will feel involved.
Well this is a suggestion base on what I sincerely would do.
Cheers
Pedro Nuno ;-)
Post Scriptum: suggestion...do it over a dinner of that salt roasted meal I sent you the other day with some good white wine...enjoy
