hey guys i have a 125g fowlr and i was wondering what would be the best method to filter it

as of now the tank is being filtered by 2 ac70s

skimmer is an octopus nw recirc 150 rated up to 180g

and there is about 200 lbs of liverock in the tank as well as an inch deep sandbed

could i do away with the ac70s?.... maybe go with a fuge

i want to add a few mushrooms and zoas...but im really not worried about the corals ...they would be more of a decoration rather than a focus point

i forgot to give you a stocklist b4

2 desjardini tangs ... 5in iand 2.5in

1coral beauty 2in
1 elbei angel 2in
1 powder brown tang 4in
1 clown coris
and a algea blenny

If you're going to add corals as decorations and not worry about making the system one that can support them, why waste the money? Why not just go over to your LFS and get some brightly colored fake coral to decorate with?

If you don't set up the system right, you'll be lose a lot of money. Also as ZANY said, don't get polyps or anything with small polyps as the angels MAY nip at them :).

thats a good point..... but its so hard to find nice fake stuff.... and most of the fake stuff at pet stores looks way too cheezy , i really like stuff that has more of a "natural" look

and as far as filtration i just want the best possible filtration for whatever is in the tank...if a fuge is gonna make my water quality better and improve the lifestyle of my fish then i would rather go with that

i have a spare 55g so would that be enough to make a fuge out of?
