So i just got my first mandarin and not 2 minutes after being in the tank he was looking for food. i thought my copepod stash was good enough to supply him but today i caught him eating frozen brine!!guess the copepods werent enough. i'm relieved i actually saw him eat something today. he's a big sucker too!

Being that your tank is a fairly new setup i would not recommend having a mandarin in there. These fish normally die out of starvation especially in new setups. But good luck with him. How about some pictures?

If you can get them to eat frozen brine and mysis after feeding live brine I don't see a problem with having one in a newer tank. I feed my scooter blenny with a sea squirt and his belly is nice and fat just about every day. Or you can try this, though it never worked for me http://www.melevsreef.com/video/diner4.wmv I've had mine in a 7mo old tank since it was 3 mo old. I do wish he could fend for himself so I didn't have to feed him like a baby every day
