Oh no! I just noticed that my six line wrase was nipping on my nepthia colt coral. Could it just have been trying to pick something off or is it eating my coral? My poor colt took a month to like my tank and is finally starting to perk up, and now my wrase is bothering it. I thought a six line wrase was reef compatible?

Yet another sixline wrasse problem!!! Nobody listens or reads. Get rid of that psychotic fish If you can without ripping apart you reef. They are nothing but trouble. Good Luck

I never heard that they were not reef safe. Other than this nipping I just saw it is really passive, probably since there were other fish in first. Getting bolder though. If my six line is nipping now is it a sign I will have problems? Hopefully he was just picking something off.

sixline's arent bad as long as you have no other wrasse's and no pygme angels and as dean said it might have been eating something off the coral aka ftworm or oher and that could have been the reason it wasnt opening up

My guy does bother the new tank mates a little, but two perculas a quarter his size were fine in the tank and have grown to almost his size at this point. I think sixlines might be chalked up to being a little worse than they actually are. My guys been a model citizen aside from a little :bunnies: frustration when his wife passed away. Yes, I had a pair of sixlines.
