I have two clown fish that have been together for over 2 years. The famale will NOT stop biting the male. The male jumps out of my tank almost everyday and ends up in my sump. Then when I put him back into the tank she bits him over and over again. They have been together since they were babies. Do you think I should seperate them? I really didnt want to seperate them being they have been together for so long. Is it she is trying to mate with him?

How do his fins and body look? If he looks perfectly healthy she is just showing him who is the boss. Post up some pics of them so we can take a look.

I had same problem, but it was after about 4 months of good behavior all of a sudden one got dominant. I bought another clown and it worked like a charm and broke up their catty behavior

well the good thing his body and fins are all healthy. As far as him jumping out of the tank he cant being I have a bio cube and the only place he can jump is into the sump in the back. He jumps back there to get some rest every once and a while. I really dont want to take him out being they have been together for so long.
