Powder Blue Tang in a 120 Reef a good idea?

Please share your thoughts and photos about putting a PBT in a 120g reef tank. Tankmates will include:

5" Purple Tang
Mystery Wrasse
Flame Wrasse Pair
Pair of True Percs
Possum Wrasse
5 Green Chromis
Purple Pseudochromis

depending on it's size it might not get along with the purple tang

powder blues are tough... eat eat and eat than suddenly die

My experience is they are pacers and some dont seem to acclimate well to an aquarium. Mine just wouldnt stop going from side to side. I think my 110 was too small for him and he didnt make it

I wouldn't do it. IMO the tank is on the small side for tangs and with the purple it's really pushing it.

They are good if you have a long tank at least 6 feet in my opinion and at least a 24inh depth. They are swimmers and need their space.

I agree with the others. Tangs need a lot of swimming room and a 6' tank should be the minimum considering all the other fish you have in the tank including the purple.

I have a 4' 90g tank and I have two tangs.A Hippo and a Orange shoulder and are doing great.Had the Hippo for one year now.They do like a lot of rock work and feel at home in a reef environment.I do not plan on getting anymore tangs however.
