I just got a 3" Lion. I have been having a hard time getting it to eat. It looks like it is looking for food but is not interestred in the frozen brine shrimp I have been trying. Any ideas?

Thats a great article! I a Volitans and have tried "adding shrimp or fish chunks to the water column." But in light of the article I will try wiggling some silversides in fount of him. I guess I thought that if he was in a fish store he would have probably be accustom to food that was not live.

Are these gathered from the wild!? If so how much time do the spend in tanks before they are sold to a consumer?

I got one a few weeks ago, simply put a frozen defrosted of course silverside, near the water current, he should go for it immediately, also live glass shimp from LFS would get him going too, if silversides do not work, then wait a good 3 or 4 days or so, then the silverside again. They should only eat twice a week.

woah watchout,they are dangerous.And yes they are wild caught.Most fish in the hobby are,the ones that are most often tank bred are clowns,pseudochromis,seahorses,some gobys and some cardinals.
