picked one up saturday at wonderful world of fish very happy and the big discount for fathers day sale was great
Does anyone keep one of these in an open tank I covered my tank with screen but am planning on removing it after the jawfish settles in

I pickup one up a couple of weeks back, and I agree with bklynreef. I've seen and heard the jawfish jump out of the water a bunch of times already. From what I've read, once they have established a home they become less likely to jump and just retreat back to there burrow. Good luck with the fish.

Hi, got one from WWOF, 2 months ago and he is doing great. I would not remove the cover - seriously. Even though he is settled in, I hear my fish jumping out of the water all the time. I can't tell if it is the jawfish the wrasses etc. but better safe than sorry. I have lost too many fish due to lack of a good cover. - I now have a canopy that I used mesh to enclose the back.

I paid 82 plus tax
I hate the cover on my tank it makes feeding harder but this fish is already my favorite I wonder if I would be able to catch it so I can put it in a eclipse 12 it looks like a very nervous fish and would probably be hard to catch
