Try not to worry too much! If he is breathing more easily with the temp lower, it might just be the heat getting to him.
Try and keep an eye on the temp tomorrow and maybe use some of the ideas in the thread regarding how to keep your tank going in this heat :)

Gasping of air is usually brooklynella caused by stress. They would usually develop a white mucus coating which is why I asked for a picture. I don't think they would gasp from an infection.

i think he meant that the brooklynella was causing stress to cause the hard breathing.

whether its internal or external you should be able to tell from something. do the fishes eyes look sunken, swollen and i dont mean alot swollen just slightly. i know he hasnt been eating but most well fed fish will look plump for a while without food. if the fish already looks skinny there could be an internal problem. try feeding him some live brine soaked in garlic extract.and if you do end up treating the fish with meds try tetracycline or ethromycin they are both broad spectrum antibiotics. but only treat the fish if you know that there is something up.oh and its better to treat a small quarantine tank rather than a larger one. also ive noticed that some clowns will behave strangely and breath hard. ive noticed when my clown gets mad at me starts breathing very hard even though its just chillen in one spot. i could just see shes pissed but then again it could just be my fishes personality. I wish u the best of luck with the fish

KathyC: I do not notice anything physically wrong with him. He is still not eating. I tried Frozen Brone soaked with garlic and Zoe. Fins are still normal, still gasping.

ReeferGoneMad: I do not notice sunken eyes, however I asked my sister to get another perspective in this matter. She said his face looks wrinklier than usual. (She only looks at the tank a fraction of the time that I spent gawking at it)

I also notice a small spec which might look like mucus..If so I'll say it's Brooklynella. Going to setup a QT just in case. Will keep you posted.

Ps. If it is Brooklynella.. What is the best way to treat it? I usually do Hypo with Velvet/ Ick. Will that work in this case, or is Brooklynella too lethal and fast for hypo.

Thanks again for the help.
