Once you get the copper level to 2.5 you need to treat for about 2 weeks after the last ich spot drops off. Usually you should treat for 4-6 weeks, just to be sure.

If you're going to treat with copper then you don't need to do Hypo, as the copper should do the trick.

i think he means if the copper do not work after a week then he will go for hypo, not that he will run both treatments

From my experiance trust me i have had plenty. I would say kiss your fish good bye. If they have had ick for for a few days and its so wide spread that all the fish have it. I would say if you dont treat with hypo from the first outbreak the fish will probobly die. This is from my exp. Not saying it will happen to you. Do you have a UV sterilizer because if you do and you have one that fits your tank ick should of not spread from fish to fish. Can you send pictures.
