Does anyone know the lifespan of a Sailfin tang?
I had a larger one , 6", which just died after 2 1/2 yrs. It just started to hover low in the tank next to the live rock int the same spot. It stopped swimming around as it normally does, and would not eat. Normally, it was a voracious eater. Also, the fins remained extended, like a defensive posture. There was no sign of Ich or fin rot. No change in water parameters. It eventually wedged itself between the back of the tank and live rock and died.
Any explanation would be helpful.
