In january i got three female lyretails and one male. beautiful fish by the way. they have been eating and schooling(females). a few days ago i saw the biggest female and the male get into an all out brawl, to my surprise neither fish was hurt. as i saw them attached at the mouth and struggling i thought that one would surely kill the other but after a few minutes of fighting they stopped. Now I've noticed that the female seems to have taken on the male role, the male just cowers in the corner and eats if food comes his way.the female has started to do things the male did: chase the other females and eating first.

should i remove him? will the female kill him once she assumes the role of male?
Any input appreciated.

I guess the female was stressed out because she wanted a little loving so she kicked out the the male out of his position
