Tang ID Help

Anyone know what this is?
I'm assuming its a hybrid, but of what?

It looks like it's a Bristle Tooth tangs, Ctenochaetus. It maybe a hybrid or it may just have a gene defect in the coloration of the fish.

Either way the fish does look pretty ugly, unless it's just because the picture isn't good.

It looks partially like a sohal surgeonfish top half and maybe bristle tooth tang on the lower half. Thr picture is real blurry.

Thats one ugly fish. Did it hale from HI? If so it could be an achilles/yellow hybrid which is common although the face doesnt really fit that scenario.

Meh, it's not a hybrid. Ctenochaetus and Zebrasoma tangs are known to develop aberrant color patterns as a result of experiencing skin fungal infections during the early part of their life. When the area of the skin infected by the fungus heals, the pigment cells are permanently damaged and the skin 'scars' a different color.
