Had you turned off the fluval for 1 hour or more before you removed it & did any of the water from it get into your tank?
Check your ammonia reading & if it begins to rise (or if you have one at all...) do a water change.

What substrate is in your new fuge? If new sand and you didn't rinse it, that could also be your issue.

If the Fluval was off for an hour or more, it could be dead bacteria (...exactly why I dislike those) and you might want to run some carbon, even if a hang on filter is ok. A dose of 'Cycle' woulnd't hurt either.
What % was your water change?

To you both

to marrone
i have 2 30gallon powerheads in there and i replaced the fluval with the fuge
I used sand live sand of cource from my tank to put in the fuge
to kathyc
i did a 20 percent water change becausse my salinity was a little high 1.026 so i got it to a 1.023 i though thats why my GSP wsnt coming out in the past day or two..... but i wasnt even and clearer my fluvl killed my anemone LTA so thats why i wanted a fuge but i was wondering if i put the fluval in the fuge would that be okay>??

You just put new sand in the refug so that's probably why the tank looks cloudy. Give it a couple of days and the cloudiness should go away. You can also hook up the whisper filter, with some pads, which will catch some of the dust from the sand.

If everything else in the tank looks good I wouldn't worry about it to much as it should clear up soon.

i have 2 30gallon powerheads
huh? :)

1.026 isn't high..it's fine..some corals just get testy every now & then, usually best to just wait them out for a few days...then start to panic. lol

I recall now about your LTA's accident with you fluval..did you empty the fluval after that & clean it out really well? If not, I'b bet that's where your bacteria/cloudy water is coming from.
I'd give the Fluval a really good bath & load it up with carbon (rinse the carbon first..) asap.

Your fluval is going to fit in a 2.5g fuge?
