So after a few months if having my firefish successfully without any escapes, it was time to take the ridiculous screen off the tank that has not only keeping him in but breaking up a lot of the light going into the tank, and when you're working with PC lighting, you'll take all you can get. Today is about 3 months later and I'm sitting here trying to keep my 22 month old son occupied while his mother trys to sleep off a night of food poisoning. i go to take out the garbage and on the floor nest to my shoes, i see my friend the firefish, not moving, yet still wet. i drop the garbage, scoop it up and drop it back into the tank. he floats for about 10 seconds and as i'm about to get the net out, he twitches, which leads to some more twitching and about a minute later he has somehow found his way to his usual crevice in the rock, i have no idea how he made it there, it was like random drunk movements that by some act of god put him back there. ANYWAY. Now hes sitting outside the usual spot breathing very heavily on the sandbed. i know theres nothing i can do to help him but i was wondering if by any chance anyone has had a similar situation and what the chance of survival is. any comments would be helpful beside the obvious bashing i have opened myself up to for having a firefish in an uncovered tank..... i know.:headache:
