Recently got 2 clown fish recently and they seem to be very finicky concerning what the will eat. The fish will take into mouth but will not keep down. Will not eat mysis, brine or pellet. Lost one clown fish already. No ich or anything seen. Water levels good. Any suggestion to make the food more appetizing?

soaking the food in garlic juice seems to stimulate their appetite, or even juicing the fresh garlic onto the food seems to work. Although, my clowns are pigs so they'd probably eat it anyway

Acclimation shock? How did you acclimate them?how long?lights on or off?if off,for how long?I had a pair of clowns get shock due to light, didn't eat like yours with good water and no disease,I had to go lights out for a few days but at least one made it :happysad:

I had acclimated them using drip method from the main tank over 3 hour period. Place in lighted tank. Gotten the fish 3 days . One died and the smaller one seems to want to eat but don't really see it keeping anything down. Where does one get garlic juice?

For real garlic..from the supermarket and use a garlic press (they usually sell them in the widget aisle) to squeeze the 'juice' from it.
Kent makes a product called 'Garlic Xtreme' 1 fl. oz..costs about $15-$20 at your LFS.

Be prepared to crave Italian food after feeding this to your fish...:)

You could just crush up some garlic, mix it in some tank water(just enough to submerge the contents so that nothing is diluted) and food, let that sit for a while and then there you go(problem is flake food tends to disintegrate sooo ya)
