120gal. FOWLR been up for 10 months. Everything is doing excellent.
1 Porcupine Puffer
1 6 line wrasse
1 blue green chromis
2 Percula clowns
1 Powder Blue Tang
1 Naso Tang
1 blue surgeon scissortail
1 lemonpeel angel
1 Flame Angel
2 Anthias

I might be asking for alot but what about adding a Blue Throat Trigger I heard it is non aggressive?
I was looking at the Karalia(sp) Power heads. I was debating if I should add 1. I heard stage 4 is the one I should be looking at. I have a 1200gph spilt 4 ways in my tank it is FOWLR not sure if it is worth adding one to help with water flow toward the middle of tank. I notice the top of tank the 4 way split jets appear not as forceful. Any suggestions?

I have a predrilled 12gal wet/dry filter. I had a skimmer but it didn't skim much I figure what do I need to skim its FOWLR. My friend supposed to swap his skimmer for mine so I might switch with him. Water levels are excellent. I do 20% water change weekly.

I have a female, was in a 155 for about a month or two, then added in a male, get along fine. Male is a bit larger, they are squarebacks, got the from nyaquatic.com, the best fish, price and quality.

I have added these fish within the past year, acclimated correctly I actually had 6 Chromis to start the tank cycle process until 5 passed so I am left with 1 but all fish are doing fine I just did a 30% water change to since I added the Naso and 2 angels last week. All are healthy.

I would still think a skimmer would help eliminate some of the waste and food before it breaks down, I think it will allow you to have a higher bioload w/ more success. I recently changed from a reef to a fowlr and immediately got the strongest skimmer I could afford, that was rated over dbl my gallons to help get some of the waste out from all those fish.

As for your current load and room for more, I would say it greatly depends on there individual current size, of course that is just an immediate answer and their growth will change that logic.

I will have to see if my friend will swap for his skimmer, What skimmer do you recommend that is affordable and goes into a sump (12gal) 120gal tank. I noticed my salt level was at .25 I dropped it to .20.

well its good atleast one chromis made it. Why not consider buying more so you can watch them school? just my suggestion.
As for a skimmer, lots of people recommend the Aqua C Remora. Go on marinedepot.com and check it out.

I really like the ones with the recirculation function to them. I know a member by the name of alienz is selling a nice deltec, thats definitly a top brand, a bit pricey but I feel will allow you to be more succesful w/ keeping a large bioload.

Look for a skimmer thats made for a 250+, thats what I did and it helps keep all paramaters down, because the food and waste never get broken down by bacteria, resulting in less nitrate (end product).
