how big is your tank? is it reefsafe? HOw big does it get?

The tank is 72 gallon. This species is full grown (grows so fast it'll make your head spin). Not reef safe unless you have no shrimp or fish. Not going to eat corals. If you can see in the video, he piled up a few pebbles and some of my corals outside her den. Species is Abdopus Aculeatus

Dom, thats exactly what I want...

I have seen his tanks, and I must say impressive...:chef:

Thanks Jean and everyone else. I appreciate the kind words. I should say, I wouldn't go running out and setting up a system for an Octo unless you do a ton of reading. They don't live very long naturally in the wild (1-2 years) and you can expect that by the time you get them your lucky to get 6-9 months from one. They also have a voracious appetite. I go through 10-15 fiddlers a week. You might think Asian shore crabs that are plentiful on the east coast would be fine (which they are) but not all Octos are keen on them. They can be picky eaters!

Thanks again! I figured you may get a kick out of the video. I have had this one over a month now.

I think it's something like humans assimilate 8% of what we consume towards our own body mass/ growth while octopus can assimilate up to 80% of what they consume. They don't live long under even the best conditions so they have to grow as quickly as possible.
