Hmmm. You seem to be trying all the right stuff.
What kind of nori? Mine never eat sushi kind. Only the green fish food kind.
You might try spirulina flakes.
Also, you might add a drop of garlic extreme to the mysis.

Keep trying, and best of luck.

yea mike I'm tryin my best I've been in this for a long time not to know what to feed a tang lmao.... its the nori that comes in those plastic packs u buy at the lfs... I'm gonna try to soak it in garlic. if that don't work then my bet bet is when he is done eating the other algae in the tank I'm hoping he will be willing to try other foods... I never had this problem before cause all my other tangs never ate algae as much as this tang does.... emmanuel he would rid ur tank of algae in no time.... lol

Live brine isn't a bad idea. The movement is great for initiating feeding responses in stubborn fish. Even herbivores are opportunistic feeders and are not above helping to consume the odd carcass or passing brine shrimp. I wouldn't be too worried about getting him to eat if he is picking on the algae already. He'll get to a point and realize he's hungry and start joining in on the regular feedings. This happens with tangs sometimes and often they come around.
