So i've had a frogspawn in my tank for about a couple months now. At first it didn't open up too much due to the flow, it was placed close to the middle of the tank far away from where the clowns usually swim around. Then i moved it to another location in hopes that it would open up. Finally, i found a spot that had enough flow so that it would open up, but not too much so that it would close. That location was right next to where the clowns usually roam around. It's been about a couple weeks since the frogspawn has been in that location, and the clowns never really got close to it. Now today, i was in front of the tank looking at the time the T5s went off, and just the actinics remained. Then i saw something i've never seen. One of the clowns got really close to the frogspawn, he didn't touch it, but was roaming on top and around of the frogspawn, i would say about an inch or so. He's been doing that for a while now, even when the Actinics went off. Does that mean he will be hosting the frogspawn soon?
I guess i want to know what kind of "rituals" clownfish have before they host a coral, or what kind of behavior they display before hosting it.?
I did some research for this, and i really didn't find too much information on it, so i'm coming to you guys hoping to find an answer, and hoping that the clown will finally host the Frogspawn!
