Finally after 5 years my false percs are spawning. I have some video which I'll try to post shortly.

Couple of questions:

I can see the eggs but I'm not sure the male is fertilizing them. How can I tell if this is happening?

Does anyone here breed clowns? I'd be happy to give you the rock. The male is tank bred, the female is wild.

too much work

I agree with noodleman-too much work. I almost made it to your store today. I even asked ellebelle to come with me, but one of my patients went into labor so i had to change plans. Will try next week. What are your hours?

Well they were fertilized. They have black eyes and some of them are turning silver, which from what i understand that means they are ready to release (maybe tonite).

Anyways, are there any experts here in raising these guys? I used to own the joyce wilkerson book, but i can't seem to find it.

I'm considering trying to get all mad scientist and try raising the next batch and i'd love to sit down and talk to someone who has some experience with this.

I used to raise clowns. Unfortunatley i slacked off and killed most of the fry :( I no longer breed them but if you dont have live food (Rotifers) they wont live. They probably will spawn every few weeks and they will hatch like clock work. If you can find your book itll help you alot of you decide to try to raise them. :)
