Hello everyone, I'm new to the hobby and new to the group.

And I'm looking for some (expert?) help.
My plan is to have a small group of yellow cardinalfish (about 9) in a 300 liter (75+ g.) mixed reef aquarium.
It is my starter saltwater aquarium with mostly mushroom and leather corals.

For stocking fish and invertebrates I'm using https://www.reeflex.net/ (Meerwasser Lexikon) and https://reefapp.net/en/ (Reefapp Encyclopedia) to have some information on the basic data. This helps a lot! But . . . real life experience is so important.

Can anyone help me and share their own experiences?
I'm thinking about that little surprises no-one expects. Things with feeding, behaviour, aggression, breeding and such.
Because reading that websites it looks like Yellow Cardinalfish are troublefree fish. Right? But . . . ???

I'm planning to stock further with other hardy and peaceful fish like a pair of Purple Firefish (Nemateleotris decora), a Segmented sailfin Blenny (Salarias segmentatus) and a Gorgeous prawn-goby (Amblyeleotris wheeleri). And possibly a few other fish added (Forktail blenny and/or Banggai cardinals). Aside from snails and a few shrimps.

I'm hoping the group of Yellow Cardinalfish will offer an interesting stocking. But, how are Yellow Cardinalfish in practice???

Thank you! 🤓
