do gobies jump?

I want to get one of these, and was wondering do they jump also how hardy are they? I'm looking for one that shift the sand a little.

they're not known to be jumpers but any fish will jump if stressed enough

Yea....some gobies do jump.

There's a good thread in the DIY section about how to build yourself a mesh cover for the top of your tank. If you did that, you'd never have to worry about anything jumping.

How about something like a yellow goby, nice and cheap, eats left over food and interesting. I saw it at a lfs digging sand undeneath a rock.

Do these jump?

Any fish, scared enough will "jump".

dont get firefish or related gobies because they are known for their jumping.

I lost a Diamond Goby to fishy suicide...or maybe he was trying to evolve?

Also, every one of my Blue Neon Gobies have made a break for it. They're lucky the cat didn't get to them before I did.

My diamond jumps like a mofo when startled. He has clunked his head on my glass canopy more than a few times...seems brain damaged now :scratch:

I had a goby jump right out of the bucket i was acclimating him in. Little sucker didnt even get to last a half hour in my tank.
