I picked up a few fish from some one, one of which is a Tomini Bristletooth tang. Well I put all the fish in and all seemed well until of all things my sh***y little yellow damsel got into it with the Tomini. I figured no big deal the tang will beat the poop out of the damsel and that will be it, plus it was in the rock work and I couldn't really stop it. Well I went to work and my girlfriend kept an I on the tank. She said nothing major went on, there was some minor fighting but in the rock so she couldn't stop it either. Later she looks and all is calm but she sees the Tomini with it's fins all torn up and open wounds. she was going to grab it and QT it because it would be easier to catch then the beat up damsel, but we didn't think the ICH-X I am dosing the qt with would be good for the open soars. First thing in the AM I am going to start war on that damsel and get it the f**k out of the tank. Any ideas on what I can do about the beat up tang? Every one else (fire fish, sunset wrasse and chromis) seems to be doing good though. I knew there could be a possibilty of a fight between the established damsel and any new fish, but this damsel has always been more show then action. So I know my husbandry wasn't perfect in this case and I can't change what I did, but I have learned a major lesson. Any help or info on what I can do to keep this beautiful tang alive would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you can get the damsel out, do it. Damsels are little demons in my opinion. As for the tang, he will heal in time. My yellow tang was severly beaten by the other tangs when I got him. He stayed in hiding until he recovered. Now he is fine, no signs of the beating he took.
