Try this....
Sorta like a lobster pot for fishing. Take the top of the bottle and cut it off about 2 or so inches under the neck. Then invert it and put the top inside the bottle. The fish will swim into the bottle using the inverted top as a funnel. then when you try to take them out it will be harder for them to get out cause they wont have the sides of the bottle to follow. they have to hit the hole perfectly.

Or just invest in a fish trap. If the wrass goes in the gatorade bottle then the fish trap will definately WORK!

It is cheaper to do and can be successful, but i feel its more fustrating. I inverted the bottle and tried to catch my damsel but it keeps swimming out. I tried doing this many times for a week or two. It really stressed me out to think i have a fish nipping on my livestock and can't catch it. I guess i did something wrong with the bottle trap. Then I bought a fish trap on ebay(cost me $28 which includes shipping) and caught my 3-stripe damsel the FIRST time in 10 minutes!:thrash: Besides its not like you are throwing away the fish trap, you keep it for future uses when you want to catch other fish. In conclusion you pay more money but its less fustration and patience. Well worth the investment. Just my opinion though.

For me, when i try to do something and then i cant, it just makes me mad, and then i will get it done on my own. Only if i really had to, would i take the step to spend more money. I have use teh bottle trick and have had no probs with it. another way you can do it. is fasten some fishing line to the top of the bottle. when the fish swim in ,pull up fast on it.

Then i would say starve the tank for 2 days. Then put the bottle with food in the tank. I took that advice from another MR member. Keep the food in the bottle only. Some fish are more suspicious than others, but will eventually go in if hungry enough.........hopefully:)
