ok so I ordered a fish from LiveAquaria yesterday and he arrived today. I opened the box up and the critters were not shipped properly! The water was freezing cold; there were no heat packs and they were not double bagged. My goby I originally thought arrived dead. I have since realized that he is clinging to life and I would very much like to save him. The water has warmed considerably since he arrived from just being in a heated building. The bag is currently floating in my fish tank as I desperately try to get him warmed up. Is there a chance that he is just extremely cold and will recover? Should I do anything with him? No, I do not have a quarantine tank (I know I know), but my tank has no other fish in it currently. Any help will be much appreciated! I am also going to post this in "General Reefkeeping" as well

After you've acclimated the little guy, shut the lights off in the tank and do NOT feed him. That should ease the stress. He's more likely to come out the next day and feed. Most gobies are hardy fish and they can survive in temperatures as low as 68 degrees for several hours. Hope he makes it.(I know he will)

well he died :( I never posted on here but he seemed to be doing better and the next day I came in and he was being eaten by a hermit crab so he apparently wasn't well enough to get away from a predator.
