hey every body, im new to this forum, any ways, ive boon wondering would be a good combination of different fish species to make my tank look good, i sadly lost all my corals and all but my good old clown fish to a power outage during the winter. so im looking to resocksoon, my tanks 29 gallons so i cant get crazy but i want a good blend of colors and even spacing through the water colum of active schooling and fish that like to hang by themselfs, my ideas are a maby three Evansi anthias, a bicolor pseudochromis, a canary wrasse, also a fire shrimp, and possibly a few yellow tailed damsles, althoguh i know thaty can get kinda mean. so i have orange, from my clown, then a bunch of purple and yellow from the others, pluss the blue from the damsles. anybody got any ideas for other fish that might do well with me? throw your opinion in the mix. my list of live stock is by no means final.

9 fish (you'll need at least 3 damsels...just 2 is always a problem) which is too many fish for that tank...that's about how I'd stock a 90 gallon if I wanted to push it.

I'd put three small fish in that tank and be done with it.

My favorite fish for a small tank is P. fridmani...awesome little fish, available captive bred, and peaceful too.
I'd throw an argi/acanthops in there along with the fridmani and clown and leave it.

There's a million choices, but that's what I'd do if it were me. I have to run out the door and will comment on your other fish choices later if no one else chimes in.

Ditch the Evans anthias--nearly impossible to keep alive in captivity in any tank let alone a 29g.

I'd suggest a Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse--it's a really neat little fish, hardy, and not too expensive.

A bicolor pseudochromis would almost certainly attack everything in the tank. They are really mean little fish. I agree with Jim that an orchid dottyback will be a much better choice for a community tank.

If you can find a small Canary Wrasse, that would fit in well with the Lubbock's and Orchid and give you a good mix of colors. These do end up getting a bit large for a 29g eventually though.

No on the bicolor pseudochromis. If you want something with similar color get a royal gramma. Better disposition, may hide a little more but not a terror like the bicolor.

If it were my 29 gallon I'd stock it like this:

1 x Ocellaris clown (don't know what species you have from your intital post)
1 x Royal Gramma or a Orchid Dottyback
1 x BiColor Blenny (not as colorful but makes up for it in personality) or 1 Longnose Hawkfish but nix the shrimp if you get the Hawkfish.
