Okay, I need to have that NOW. I've always been a fan of undulates, and have kept two. That thing is just TOO AWESOME!

Peace,

Chip

Too bad they don't stay golden. I got one from Sri Lanka last fall and it was gorgeous. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures after it was 75% back to normal.

You just ruined my day!

:D

Saw same thing happened with Pygmy angels in Hong Kong, but saw a St.Paul's Rock Queen angels that held the colors.

Im quite sure that B.undulatus arrived from Solomon, Dave have experience with those as he imported them before, i wonder if they hold their color or not.

They don't, which is why he doesn't buy them anymore. At least he didn't pay as much as I did. It sucked that it changed back...I've also heard the same thing regarding Xanthic Regals, that they change back to normal...

I have had 4 of these come in over the past several years and have heard of a handful of others. The first one I got in 1991 from the Philippines and it was kept in the store show tank at my old store in Phoenix. It did indeed turn back to normal color over the course of the next year. By 12 months it was totally back to full normal color. The others I have heard changed back but did not see the change.

The first one I heard of was caught in Kosrae I think and there was an article written about it in FAMA magazine in the early 1980's I think.

If they change "back" to normal coloration, then what is the reason for the abnormal coloration in the first place? Diet? Environment? Age?

I have the same experience with some C.bispinosus (almost full white with a little blue edges) and heard the same about C.bicolor(xanthic color).

I've seen an xanthic passer turn nearly back after a rather short amount of time :(
