I would trip the acclimation the same way as any larger fish. Drip is always better, and a minimum of 30 minutes, though the larger the fish, the longer i usually acclimate.
One word of caution - I often hear people say "longer acclimation is better". This is only the case if all life support criteria are properly maintained. I have seen people lose fish because they acclimated too slowly and the dissolved oxygen dropped. I've also seen people use a drip acclimation on a large angelfish, in a white styro. What do you think is more stressful for the fish, a five dregree temperature change or being held in a white box for two hours with a "monster" that keeps staring down at them? I've also seen people delay acclimation beyond the point where the critical parameters are already matched (e.g. - "I floated the fish for two hours - just to be safe" and the person never bothered to discover that the temperature had equilized in the first 15 minutes<grin>.
