I would like to add a new fish to my tank and I have been thinking about adding a Longnosed Hawk.

I have been advised that the Hawk may kill any shrimp and crabs in my tank and would like to know if someone can verify this for me.. I don't have any shrimp in my tank at the moment but would like to have the option of adding one at a later date. The only crabs that are in my tank are 5-6 small coral crabs and a small black crab of some kind (all came in as hitchhikers on my live rock 12 months ago and seem to be doing great)

At the moment I have a 20g FOWLR tank with 2 Percula Clowns, a Six Line Wrasse and a Bicolour Angel.

Even without those considerations, LN hawks are jumpers, big time. I could see one really battering the hell out of itself in a 20g. I don't think I'd add more fish to that current mix, either, unless they're small and going to stay small. Think (I know!) neon goby. Mmm... yellow assessor..? Perhaps.

Thanks for the info,

I have had a look at both the neon goby and yellow assessor on the net and really like the look of the Goby, my only problem now is finding one in one of our local stores. Hopefully it won't be too hard to find, or too expensive. Thanks again..

Maybe I'll get over there one day, but I'm not sure I want to wait that long to put another fish in my tank. Cheers.
