Got this tang at about 1.25". He's grown to about 2" now, but still tiny. My black tang and joculator angels are the only two that survived my tank boiling event a couple months ago.

He and my angel are the only two fish that lived when my temp controller malfunctioned and sent my temp above 100. They're now best of friends. It's not easy to take a photo of one without having the other in the frame.

Is that a watermelon chalice in the background (upper right)?

I love tiny tangs like that. They are so active they look good in the tank and they fit everywhere. Once they grow up they just look like neurotic fish.

Hey Randy, yes, that's the watermelon. The color is mostly back now but the growth has slowed compared to before it bleached.

He suddenly had a growth spurt the past week. Seems to have grown half an inch in a week. He's no longer as friendly with my angelfish now though ;)

Nice little guy. I love the tantalising, out of focus glimpses we get of your tank when you post pics of fish.

You tease.
