That is what I thought, but, they confirmed the price:
Thank you for visiting Tropical Fish Outlet. Yes, the pricing that you mentioned for our Dragon Eel (Dragon Moray Eel) is correct.

Maybe they didn't check closely enough when confirming the price though. If I didn't just get my little cowfish I would be all over this.

It says it's from Mexico, that's why it's so cheap.

The reason you don't see that many in the wild is because there was a big hurricane back in the 90's that destroyed the areas where they lived. Because of this in some area the eel doesn't exist anymore. A lot more of these eels are coming from Japan, though they're have different colors.

I can tell you right now that even at $400 it wouldn't approach wholesale on one of those from anywhere. I would be weary of what they are selling but in all honesty if you were to buy that you could turn around and sell it in two seconds for a lot more if it is an actual dragon moray. Although, it might just be an ugly female.
