Hello all,
I have kept a few types of triggers in the past and recently acquired a beautiful 8" male Crosshatch Trigger. I was wondering if any of the forum readers had any experience with the Corsshatch and knew about food requirments and an other care needs.
I was also wondering if anyone ever heard of Crosshatches developing a cyst in the mouth that caused them to stop eating? If that is common then I would tend to think that there was a common reason as to why this happened. Maybe a food or vitamin deficiency?
Anyway, Thanks in advance for any feedback that you can provide!

Sweet! One of the prettiest and interesting fishes I have ever owned. I currently have a pair that are both about 7" long. They are plankitvoriads so you should be sure to feed mysis and such. I feed mine hikari (i think my spelling is correct) brand mysis, oceanic plankton(staple), krill, and the other vitamin enriched stuff they sell. I also use Selcon as a supplement. I also chop up silversides that you can buy for them to chew on. This is what I think you may be refering to with what you said about cysts. If you dont give a trigger something to chew on their teeth keep growing and become elongated so they cant chew. Best of luck and post pics!
