Hi there,

I own a pygoplites diacanthus for two years. I think of bying a little P. navarchus now. Do you think, they could be associated like one can associate different dwarf angels?

Any experiances? Hints?

Thank you!

Dirk (excuse me, if my English is bad, I´m german)

Hello 18.6, you are very lucky because you can keep that beautifull delicate pygoplites for about 2 years, i assume that you must know that this fish is hard to keep. Btw i'm also try to keep this lovely fish, and this fish has been live for about 2 months, but he accepts to eat open mussels, and greedily accepts pellets. What is you regal food, in order to keep him alive for such long period like you?

Hi!

I´m fortunate, that my red-sea regal angel feeds on everything.
It didn´t feed for one month at the beginning (!) but suddenly started with fresh oysters. Quite expensive  .
One day (after about four months) he started to feed on artemia, mysis, pellets, just everything. I regularly put vitamins to the frozen food.
Unfortunately he also likes green LPS, so I had to take two corals and a colony of mushrooms out of the tank.

So, you put him on the reef tank? Mine is put in fish only setup, but he is the only fish in my 15 gal tank, in my 220 gal live Asfur, Narvachus and Emperor together. The Narvhacus and Emperor don't bother each other and live very harmony, but the Asfur don't like to both of them, but also don't dare to chase them, because if he chase Narvachus them the Emperor will also chase the Asfur. It seem like the Emperor is protecting the Narvachus, believe it or not, it happen in my tank. Oh, my Narvachus and Emperor has already been live together for about 3 years in the tank, and Asfur is the new comers with 6 months old in my tank.
Is the Regal is the only angel in your tank? Do you know Chaetodon Conspicilatus, is this fish can be keep in the tank?

Hi!
Yes, the regal angel lives in a reef tank (dominated by sinularia) . Together with two kennedy dwarfs (c. bispinosus) and one chaetodon kleinii.

Hei 18.6, the kennedy name for dwarf angel (c.bispinosus) is the same name in my country. But i think it world name for kennedy is coral beauty dwarf angel, is this correct? Have u ever keep rock beauty/ever look at people success at keeping rock beauty? I read from Bob reccomendation that rock beauty is a delicate fish, hard to acclimatize, and seldom live for any lenght period time in the aquarium, any comment!
