Hi folks,

I have a 48x18x12 tropical tank with around 25 adult fish, and arround 60 babie guppys! They keep breeding and its got to the stage where separating them is a nightmare because the tank so planted. There is two breeding females and one male, the first batch of babies now about 2 month old and having read a few forums seem these we guppies are now ready for breeding. UGHH any sugestions on maybea particular fish that would hunt these babies while very small to assist with keeping numbers down!

Hello hecmac. I'm not sure how much help you'll find here on freshwater questions, although I'm sure more than a few of us have kept freshies at one point or another. First, reduce the cover of the babies, this will allow the adults to eat them. Second, you can try a SMALL Synodontis catfish, they will eat them, but be prepared for most species to become large and aggressive with the adult gups. Of course, they should be easy enough to net up, and you can offer them as feeders for those with like-minded fish.

Next, I'm going to point you to a site that has freshwater specific forums-- http://www.wetwebfotos.com/talk (based from http://www.wetwebmedia.com ). You'll need to sign up to post, but it's no biggie.
