I'm interested in adding 2 or 3 fairy wrasses to my 100g system at some point.

I need some recommendations on compatibility... which are generally peaceful in a community of wrasses. Should I add all three at the same time?

I currently have 4 chromis, 1 chalk bass, and a clown which are all very peaceful.

Right now I'm looking at the Austrailian Scott's Fairy, Exquisite (too hard to keep?) and a Solar Wrasse. May substitue one of these for Lineatus or any other recommendations.

I have had many different types of Fairy Wrasses. Just keep in mind they aren't that great in dealing with stress. I had lost a few that way.

Austrailian Scott's Fairy are very nice. But I would keep at least 2 of them to keep some color or they might get dull after a while. Hack, their color might get dull even with 2... And they do get big. Mine are 6", 5" and 3" They can get a tiny bit aggressive. But I can tell you they are awesome. Just something about them. These look very striking in large size. They are my favorite.

Exquisite too hard to keep? Not really. They get big 5-6" but I have not seen one more then 4".

Solar Wrasse are cute. But I had problem keeping him with an Exquisite, so out went the Exquisite. These can get big 5-6" but again I have not seen one more then 4".

But I think what you should worry about most are the aggressive Fairy. They are nice but if you decide to change the Fairy Wrasses around, they might give you problem...
From my experience:
A large Whipfin Fairy would be one of the most aggressive I had. For their small size, they would chase the hack out of my larger Fairy.
I also have heard many 6-line are aggressive, but mine is gentle... To be on the safe side, I would stay away.

But if I had to pick 3 Fairy Wrasses to keep they would be:
Large Austrailian Scott's, Male Flame, and Lineatus (don't even have to be Supermale to look great!) Now you got blue/green, yellow/red, and shades of purple!

Thanks for the post. Very helpful. I think I'm only going to keep one of each (3 total) so should I forget about the austrailian since the color will dull out without females?

Do you think 3 is too many for 100g? (36 x 30 x 20)

three in a 100... definately not too many . fairy wrasses are for the most part very friendly. once in a while they may chase one another around but not to the point where they will stress/kill each other (in my experience)
