I purchased a percula clown about one week ago. When I got him home and was able to give him a very close inspection I noticed a small (<0.5 mm) growth on the bottom of his right gill cover. It appears to be on the edge. I placed him in the QT tank and began treating him with Rally by Ruby Reef. I treated for 5 days and on the last two I also performed freshwater dips for 3.5 mins on the first and 10 minutes on the second. Nothing has seemed to work thus far. As a matter of fact, the ailment has now spread to the fin on his right side and the one on his gill cover has gotten larger. See attached photo. The fish is swimming normally, eats like a horse and exibits no labored breathing.
I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions as to what this might be and how to treat it?
Thanks.
