So I just got my first fish for my 30 gal tank, a pair of True Percula Clownfish. They are on the small side, one is an inch, the other an inch and a half long. I also have a cleaning crew - hermits, snails, green emerald crabs, 2 peppermint shrimp and 2 fire shrimp.

I currently have frozen cubes of Mysis Shrimp. What kind of feeding schedule would be best and about how much ? I'm thinking along the lines of 1/4 of a cube of Mysis per day....I welcome comments / suggestions of times a day, amounts, and other types of foods...

Thanks !!

the size of the cube is fine which you intend of giving. I would change their diet around and also give some flakes. I would feed in the morning around the same time basically making sure that you put the light on at one particular time so the fish get an internal clock as to when its food time. Since they are that small i would feed a very little bit at night as well but as they age just once a day is fine

I feed my 2 maroon clowns twice a day. They get a mixture of meaty substance ( krill, mysis, etc.) at night and in the morning i feed them formula one marine pellets with garlic.
If feeding pellets, in the beginning, you should only drop one by one and see if they go after it (your clean up crew will get whatever falls on the floor). Try to regulate when feeding your tank.
You will soon find feeding like habit: brushing your teeth (morning and night), showering, etc.:lol2:
