Not sure man, but the royal gramma can hold it's own and it's pretty territorial. I wish i can offer more help than that.

Those are two very tough fish. I would not advise you to put them together. They will more than likely fight. Unless you have a very large tank where they can establish their own territory.

I put my money on the black cap :fight2:. :D

guess i won't be hosting UFFC in my tank, i decided to avoid the possible blood shed, scale shed sounds better. maybe when i get a HUGE 250+ tank (very distant future)thanks for the help guys.

FWIW, a few years ago I had both in a 90 gallon together for some time. The gramma had already been established and the blackcap was about the same size. They squared off once in awhile for a second or two but never fought and they both took up residence on opposite sides of the tank. I also have a friend that had one of each in a 75 with no problems. Personally, I think you're okay in a 90 since neither fish typically swims too far from it's zone but it isn't without some risk since each and every fish is different.
