Moorish Idol

Does anyone know where this fish got it's name?

According to Wikipedia:

'It is said the moorish idol got its name from the Moors of Africa, who purportedly believe the fish to be a bringer of happiness"

I saw a few of these right off the coast of Zanzibar when I was SCUBA diving there, so I would say this is plausible.

I saw this fish while SCUBA diving off Israel/Egypt, too!
