white spots on clown

ok now i am on my 5th clown this time i got a maroon, had perc's before, 1 my damsel killed, 2 dissapeared, and 1 had ick bad, now my maroon is starting to get a few white spots on him. none of my other fish have it and the clown has been in tank for over a week. i dont have a qt tank and if i could set one up how long would i need to put fish in it for ? i have pepperment shrimp. whats another good fish or shrimp i can keep that will clean fish ? any help would be appriciated. ty rick

im a beginner but what ive learned was u need to quarantine the ill fish and treat him with meds.also i dont know how people feel about this method but i heard a fresh water bath also helps but the water needs to have the right ph.hope someone else has an idea.oh need to keep close eye on fish during fresh water bath.do not do it until someone with more knowledge answers this thread

i have 2 fish that have been in tank since start, never nothing. it's only when i get clowns{had true and false perc, have a maroon now. no problems with gobies blenny damsels pseus bicolor. only time i get a fish that gets it has been clowns. did a almost 2 hour transistion. so if this goes, no more clown's

what inverts do you have in the tank? You may be able to drop the salinity significantly depending on what you are currently at. When the ich is encysted on the fish there is nothing you can do. You're only hope is to eliminate it once in the water column. Dropping the salinity and raising the temp to a max of 85 (very slowly) will speed up the lifecycle of the parasite and kill it once it hits the water. You may also consider a small UV sterilizer such as a turbo twist 3X or smaller. Also, where are you getting your clowns? You want to consider another source.

white spot

i started to raise temp tonight, was at 78 degree'sill have it to 85 by tommorrow night and get salinity down to 1.021. i have snails 3 types 2 emerald crabs blue hermits and shroons and zoo's
