Blue/Green Chromis are better, Damsels are bad news especially in groups.

lol chief. I have always stayed away from damsels cept for the green chromis and a few of the smaller ones that are less aggressive. Why waste the space in a tank besides the fact that most damsels change color as adults to crappy greyishblackishwhiteishmottled and get meaner as they grow.

Yellow tail Damsel are very aggressive, After the get established to their surroundings. They are also very territorial and once this occurs it will be very hard to add any new livestock to your tank. I have one and experience all these things and more.

They will actually body any newcomers and may bother some of the fish already there.

Fish do act different in numbers but, u should not take the chance. If you want a small school of fish, chromis (an inexpensive way to go) or also go anthias ( a little more costly). Just to name two.

good luck if you stick with the yellowtails.
