This morning Uraguay was fine. At about 5 o'clock, Jerry noticed that his belly looked caved. Closer inspection revealed that he has lumps on his side and belly just under his ventral fin. Has anyone seen this before?

All water params are on target
He is eating but then spitting out his food - I tried cyclopeze and frozen brine and mysis shrimp.
He is not acting shy or pacing.

should stop feeding him chicken bones :)

Very possible that is a parasite - let's hope not or th fish is doomed.

How often do you feed it? and does it ever not look like that - like after it eats.

Keep us posted Leslie, since we sold you the fish, it's our interest to make sure it remains healthy - let's hope it;s just working out a little indigestion.

Ohhh...no chicken bones. Someone should have told me sooner

I have been feeding him frozen brine shrimp twice a day. This is the first time he has looked like this. If it doesn't go away by morning, I will put him in the QT. I will be really bummed if he does not make it as he and the other fire fish are very chummy.

My firefish sometimes gets it about an hour after he eats. The buldge takes a while after eating to develop apparently for mines. And the next day, its gone. Never really thought twice about it because I assumed thats his belly.

whew! he back to having a smooth belly, and he ate this morning - the biggest pieces so he may get lumpy again!

Thanks for the info. Glad to know that it is normal.
