Dace when I did my upgrade I also had a problem with my Hippo and Foxface. I use the Kent garlic as well for 2 weeks and I a make a habit of mixing garlic once a week. Everything looks healthy as of now....

Forget the garlic, use polyp labs medic- reef safe does not kill bacteria, does not harm fish or coral at all. I use their products religously. I had a tank crack on me- my 55- RIP and it saved every fish in my tank. It is not bunk and is solid- they are a bunch of chemists. I ran carbon after- marine deport has it and so does a bunch of other places. Phil

i also have and use kent garlic daily but now i just turned up the dosage to see if it will help my fish. I will be devestated if my hippo and fox face go. I've had that hippo for about 4 years since he was a speck. he was so small i could not see him right infront of me unless he turned sideways, and as for the foxface. i went through 3 before i was able to find the trick to keeping one in my system. After the second one died,i refused to buy another one because i felt i was just killing them by putting them in my system. And it was just i was not feeding them what they liked. i took one more chance cause my dauther loves that fish and i've had it for about two years now. i really like that fish and he's the biggest fish in my tank :frown:

thanks for the suggestion. but after my tank crashed after using a product that had been perfectly safe on my tank in the past. i no longer add anything other then the normal stuff. i will have to take my chances with the garlic. but i really appreciate the suggestion.
Thanks,

David

Update:

I've been feeding my fish twice a day which i usually only feed once a day and i'm flooding the food with Selcon and Garlic. My Foxface is fighting the Ick back and is looking great (hope he makes it) with spot color were he had the ick but looks like he's is almost completely ick free, as for the hippo in my display is also looking better but seems to still have a small amount of ick. now in my frag tank i am holding a hippo and a foxface for a friend and they now seem to have some ick also but lets see if i do the same with them. i only have 2 cleaners in there. will keep u guys updated.
