Fish that eats cyno!

Hey guys looking for a fish that is known to eat cyno I seem to have an outbreak tried raising my mag and still wont go away. Any advice will be great thanks!

Best thing to do is try and find out WHY it's there and change it. I found it's usually inadequate lighting/light schedule or over feeding.

There is no fish that eats that stuff. Cyano is caused by over feeding and lack of flow. Check your water parameters and control the nitrates and phosphates. Increase flow in dead areas.

Cyano is a very common pest in the hobby. Good husbandry and regular maintenance keeps it at bay.

I used chemi clean in the past. It's a powder that you use in the tank. Worked for me back then.

That will help if cyano is growing in a death spot where no water movement. But your best thing is siphon as much you can yourself. It came be from to much nutrients in your water. It can be that your skimmer is working to good and removing the good bactiera causing the cyano to grow. So you have to find out what's causing it. That's why sometimes adding bacteria works. But not all the time , depending which it is. What work best for me was removing cyano myself. And doing water changes along adding more current. If you don't have a clean up crew that can help too. Dr. Tims makes two products that works on cyano too. Sometimes if skimmer is to powerful you tune it down during the day a few hours to see if that works. Never at night.

I have a Golden Head Gobie that is constantly sifting through sand and cleaning it. I cannot say he eats Cyano but 100% if there was any present the constant turning of the sand would interrupt the growth of it.
I am not joking, this guy is ALWAYS cleaning the sand... He gets annoying because he moves it all over, builds sand dunes, takes the sand from under the rocks, piles it on my carpet nem and clam and corals... But he keeps that sand clean !!!

I have a goby he does the same they don't eat the cryo but will move the sand and get it suspended into the water then you can Clean it out of your sump
